Legal Aid & Pro Bono

We will represent any person granted Legal Aid on the normal fee rate from the Legal Aid Commission of NSW.  Applicants must meet the criteria laid out by Legal Aid in each case.  Legal Aid is available to people on lower incomes for Criminal matters, care proceedings, Family Law and to a lesser extent AVO proceedings and civil law.  We will assist you to complete the forms required for an application to Legal Aid and apply on your behalf to Legal Aid.

Unfortunately not all in the community have the financial resources to enforce their legal rights and legal aid often is unable to assist under their strict guidelines, depending on the nature of the matter.  This is where our "Pro Bono" scheme can help those that fall through the cracks. As a community service therefore we do carry up to 10 active files in the firm for needy folk as being "Pro Bono".  You may, depending on need and availability, be able to utilise this facility; please ask us.  Community groups are particularly welcome.  We will also assist needy people for free for "one off" mentions and sentences on Court days when we are ordinarily present at Court.
